i’ve been climbing these mountains alone
and now the ice is melting and the path has grown
finally the landscape is laid out before me,
my entire trail snaking and weaving out over an endless frozen sea
my footsteps meet others,
lockstep, then diverge
the formless dance of love and schism
and the unexpected return
i’ll try walking on water
i’ll attempt to climb the icy crags
broken bones don’t scare me and
i’m told this life won’t be my last
now its time for the sinking sun,
but here it never sets for too long
and though i’ve lost the markers,
adventure awaits and my legs are strong
